"A Cultural Pattern in Iran "
In the huge universe which we are living in, there are various countries that each of them hasAwkward their own specific pattern and symbols that theyCut are related with their religion and cultural history. In all countries neither there isWord Order some acceptable pattern for foreigners to adapt their selves with new circumstances nor there areWord Order some unreasonable rules which perform some of misunderstanding; in fact, the huge amount of misunderstanding could cause some intercultural conflicts. How ever, we should found a way in order to take a way the misunderstanding for foreigners who want to know more about our culture and community. The way that we can avoid inter cultural conflicts to foreignersAwkward is to produce values, beliefs, style of communication, and concept of time in the Iranian culture and explain it to foreigners that make them away of all paradoxes which they should face withAwkward. The majorWForm of people who are living in Iran are the Muslims who have their own andCut specific rules and beliefs and the leader of this religion has constructed some rules which hasS/VAgreement to be accepted by other members. The most important believesWForm which foreigners should be aware of avoiding when they want to adjust them selves with Iranian community is hejab (the process that women should cover their hair and boyWChoice), avoiding from alcohol and drugs, and the distances which has to beAwkward between men and women duringWChoice they are in public.
The major of people who are living in Iran are the muslins who have their own and specific rules and beliefs andRepetition the leader of these religion has constructed some rules in terms of obeying from muslins laws. Girls who are living in Iran and are part of Islamic communities are brought up in a way that they would clearly know their place in society and should get coverWForm by scarf's which goes on their hair and a long uniformWChoice which has to cover their body. In the article" Friend and Stranger" by Margaret k. (Omar) Nydell who are the authors of the article, research about the western culture and their actions especially Arabs culture, most of people who are living in Arab country they are muslin and their women should cover their body with long clothe which is named Chador and is obvious that most western countries has same common organization for their women which foreigners might be aware of. This process may be little difficult for foreigners who enter at Iran for the first time, or they may want to get rid of all of the dresses which they should wear on. For foreigners who have visited Iran is very easy to compare the difficulties between ordinary women and those who are brought up among Iranian community because for Iranian women is easy to obey the rules which comes from their religion; how ever, it's little bid suffering and hard that foreigners in order to adjust themselves with Iranian beliefs. For instance, one of my close friends was traveling to Iran from the united state for couple of weeks; she decided to hang out with our friends. She covered her hair with the hat and wears a shirt which was more like short t-shirt. I old her before getting out of door that dresses which you have is not decent and may cause you problems, but she didn't pay attention to my words. We went out and at the beginning of shopping, the police officer called her and noticedWChoice her to change her clothes, if not, she may sendVTense to jail. Overall, every single country and culture, no matter what, should value and respect the beliefs of other country. By obeying and respecting the cultures belief most misunderstanding and difficulties would get way from humans way side.
Beside Hejab, using alcohols at public is strongly forbidden. using alcohols should known to be crime and a person who had use the alcohols or drugs can brought to jail, or get punished. There is no acceptationWChoice for foreigners to use alcohols, or drugs at public. The concept of avoiding alcohols at Iran by government is that the Islamic culture has known the alcohols and drugs as substances that affects on the mental and physical health and should be harmful for human. For instance, a manVague who was alcoholics and drinks a lot was arrested by police just because he was carrying small amount of alcohols in his purse. He had arrested and kept in jail for almost six moths. Finally it makes sense that using harmful substances can cause several negative influences in terms of human biology and should be respectful and understandable from foreigners and people who want to adjust themselves with Iranian culture at Iran.
The third belief in order to examine a cultural pattern in Iran to foreigners is that they should be aware of the limit distances which should be among various genders that are not related to each other. As it's mentioned in the article "Where do We Stand? " by Lisa Davis ,the author explains and focuses on cultural differences in the use of space as and type of communication in any culture. In Iran also people can't cross the law especially the law that has related with male and females. Islamic culture has strongly forbidden women touch the men and also vice versa. For instance, if women hug men, or kiss him at public she had acted against the law and she may get noticed by people, or also police. In addition, the Iranian community belief that women are Haram to men and as long as they didn't married they are not able to have relation with women who are not related to them.
Overall, there are many ways that intercultural conflicts can occur. Thing such as believes, relationship between variousAwkward gender in public, clothing, and etc are the points which foreigners when enters in Iran might be shocked when exposed to it. Therefore these conflicts can be prevented by the people that travel, Study about the country and the religious culture of that country; such as, in this case people who travel to Iran should consider Iranian people belief cultural background and their interactions between opposite genders. The countries should keep their beliefs in order to take away any misunderstanding which has produced for foreigners especially the ones who are interested to visit Iran .visitors are very welcome to Iran and Iranian people should act them as their guests.
