To live, people need to have thought. Different countries have different ideas, and people have different believing. Symbol shows us national background what people trust and think. Symbols in countries are really meaningful and thoughtful. There are some special reasons why it is important for us have symbols.

First, we have a symbol of eating style. We have human relationship with people of all ranks, so we need to care about rule. For example, in India, there are an association between taboo and rank. High-ranked people do not use same plate as low-ranked people, because India has problem of pollution. Therefore, high-position community fears infection from low-position person. This is discriminatory style, but Indian treasure about caste. In my country, younger people have to respect older persons. They have many experiences more than younger, so they can advice and recommend about future for younger. When we have dinner together, older force younger to drink alcohol, they cannot refuse about it. It is their responsibility for speech from older person. Therefore, younger makes them comfortable and older treats them great. Both of examples have respect for person who is higher position than us. It is important for society to be stable and steady.

Second, we have a symbol of politic. We can get power and authority when we watch special pictures. For example, Queen Elizabeth of England is wearing a crown. It is imperial regalia. Queen Elizabeth was really beautiful, so many female recognized she was one of best queen. In Egypt, there is King Tutankhamen. He shows us his majesty and style. Both of arts are associated with particular objects and these symbols are metonyms. In my country, we have one great samurai picture. He has huge body and long and wide sword. When I was kid, I really wanted be as him. I shocked his power and brave by picture. These symbols make us animate and longing.

Finally, we have a symbol of space. Spaces give us social grouping and social relationships. For example, in a village in northeastern Thailand, space in a their house is divided to rules about marriage . This is thoughtful for couple because recently many people cannot care about couple's private. From my experience, my friend married and they lived with their parents, however, their parents asked to do house working. Therefore, their own time is not free and finally they left home. Marriage is so sensitive period. It is important symbol.

In conclusion, symbols are able to create culture. Many people have their own life by the symbols. Symbols are sometime rules, sometime objects and sometime spaces. We need to take care of our own symbols.
